TMG was founded in 1999 as a small insurance and financial solutions company by Damon and his father Steve Mintz. With over two decades of experience, we have evolved from a humble, family-run business, into a dynamic organization supporting entrepreneurs who want to build their dreams and preserve their legacy.
Our proven and successful investment strategies are based on three key values: faith, family and freedom. Our Leadership Team
Damon is Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Mintz Group, founded in 1999. He lives in Akron, Ohio with his wife Kally and has 6 children.
He believes that being an entrepreneur is one of the greatest expressions of freedom and has successfully started, acquired and invested in over 20 businesses, resulting in over $5 billion in sales. His mission is to build, invest and support companies who share the core values of faith, family and freedom.
Matt is a St. Louis native who now resides in West Palm Beach, Florida with his wife and three kids. He has a B.A. in English and has worked in both for profit (Tony Robbins) and non-profit (Joyce Meyer Ministries) for over 20 years.
His focus is all things Marketing, Creative & Branding. Matt believes that we don’t have bad products, but we aren’t telling our clients a compelling enough story about them!
Johnny is an Akron native who now calls North Canton, OH home, where he lives with his wife and their French Bulldog.
With a B.A. in Accounting and Finance, Johnny brings a wealth of experience from both global accounting firms & dynamic start-ups. His expertise lies in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and optimizing budgets to drive business success. Johnny also understands blending big-picture strategy with financial precision to help our clients & investments thrive.
Tyler Mintz is an Ohio native who currently lives in Akron, Ohio where he is poised to finish his degree in Finance from John Carroll in the Spring of 2025.
An all-star high school and collegian athlete, Tyler translates the importance of team and hard work to everything he does. Tyler has interned at the Mintz Group for many years and will continue to dissect, analyze and refine the financials for the company as well as position it for the future.
Judd is a Cleveland native who now resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife Vanessa.
Graduated with BA from University of Dayton. He spent 25 years in Los Angeles in the entertainment industry as well as building international sales organizations in multiple industries.
His focus is new client acquisition as well as serving as President of Impact Records.
Steve was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. He is married to Kathy Mintz for 55 years, has 2 children & 7 grandchildren, and has been a part of TMG from the beginning as founding partner.
His hard work & determination have translated to billions in sales for multiple companies and his emerging focus in our TMG Cares Foundation will get much needed support to ministries and organizations that are dear to his heart. He lives by this value: People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much they care.
Nanak was born in Akron, OH and now lives in Ohio City, Cleveland, OH.
He graduated from the College of Wooster with a B.A. in Neuroscience (2018) and continued to get his Executive MBA at Cleveland State University— graduating with honors in 2023.
Savvy in both Sales & Operations, Nanak ensures each functional group in the company has what it needs for clients to have the best experience.
Fida is an energetic and dedicated professional with a proven track record of delivering effective and viable solutions across diverse industries.
A graduate of Cleveland State University, Fida holds a NABCEP PVIP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) license, certifying nearly 500 solar array installations in the Midwest and Southeast US. With over 15 years of experience in business development, project management, and renewable energy EPC, he has achieved success in both private and public sector projects.
Jacqui is an Ohio native that currently lives in Canton with her 3 children. She began her career as a financial advisor in 2012 at Morgan Stanley, while pursuing her MBA at Walsh University.
She has a special passion for supporting business owners in identifying, growing, and protecting what they have after dedicating their lives to their businesses. As co-founder and CEO of Lumina Wealth Management, she and her team have an objective to light the way to independence for individuals and businesses, supporting them in their personal and professional endeavors.
